WATERVILLE, Maine — A woman is facing a felony charge after she broke into her ex-boyfriend’s house and assaulted him early Monday, according to police.
Lindsay Philbrick, 26, is no stranger to police, according to Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey. Philbrick has prior arrests for domestic violence assault, he said.
Philbrick now faces a felony burglary charge after she went into the man’s Burleigh Street house through an unlocked door, according to Rumsey, and assaulted the man and a woman who was staying in the home.
“Neither of them were injured by the assault,” Rumsey said. The man had scratches on his back and a mark below his left eye, Rumsey added.
“He awoke to [Philbrick] punching him in the face,” he said.
Philbrick was arrested and booked into the Kennebec County Jail on charges of burglary, domestic violence assault and assault, Rumsey said. Her bail was set at $1,250.
Philbrick faces up to 10 years in jail if convicted of the burglary charge. She is due in Kennebec County Superior Court on Aug. 14.
