BRUNSWICK, Maine — The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a registered sex offender for additional sex crimes against children which allegedly happened in 2000.
Leslie Richard Grant, also known as Levi Grant, 46, of 4½ Dunning Street in Brunswick, was arrested Monday and charged with Class A gross sexual assault of a child under the age of 14. According to a press release from Sagadahoc County Sheriff Joel Merry, an investigation showed that Grant sexually abused children at a Bowdoinham residence in 2000. Grant was arrested after an arrest warrant was issued by the Sagadahoc County District Attorney’s Office.
Grant was convicted of a similar incident in Lisbon in 2004, according to the press release, and is listed on the Maine Sex Offender Registry as a 10-year registrant. Merry said the investigation into Grant is ongoing and that further charges may be pending in relation to Grant’s contact with other victims in other communities.
Grant is being held on $10,000 bail at Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.

I sure wish the Legislators would start caring about what is happening to the children of this country and start imposing much stiffer crimes against these scum. I am so sick of reading this in the paper ever day. God bless all of these poor children effected.

These monsters cannot be rehab’d. The penalty for what this clown does should be equiv to manslaughter at minimum. As it stands now someone can get caught with a bag of grass and will do 3x the jail time as this piece of garbage. And if you think at least he’s getting the justified beating of a lifetime in the Maine clink think again. I have a friend who is a guard, and if this and all the other sorry excuses for human beings feel that they are in danger they can request a private room for the duration of their short stay. They also have microwave dinners and playstation games in vending machines.

Thats odd….a convicted sex offender commiting another sex crime….weird… I figured that he would never do this again– even after doctors say its is a compultion. I think some touchy feely therapy will fix him……..actully just shoot him
