HUDSON – Betty L. Sabine, “Nan,” 80, died peacefully July 31, 2012, with family by her side at her residence. She was born May 1, 1932, in Garland, a daughter of Wilbur V. and Doris L. (Davis) Babb.
Betty was a loving a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by five children, Mike Sabine and his wife, Belinda, of Bradford, Greg Sabine of Hudson, Lorraine Goddard and her husband, Rick, of Hudson, Sandy Williams and her husband, Jerry, of Salt Lake City and Chris Sabine and his wife, Jamie, of Hudson; nine grandchildren and their spouses, Shawna, Derek and Kristin, Crystal and Thomas, Danny and Krystle, Derek and Jen, Tanya, Stephanie, Corey and Kristie, and Meagan; 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Lil Strout of Bradford and Gloria Hopkins of Florida; a brother, Wayne Babb and his wife, Helen, of Orono; two special sisters-in-law, Avis Babb of Alton and Connie Sabine of Florida; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Leroy A. Sabine; two brothers, Ted and Billy Babb; and an infant granddaughter, Carrie. The family thanks Hospice of Eastern Maine for their wonderful compassionate care.
A celebration of her life will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where friends may call 10 a.m. until the time of service.
