TROY – Jean Munro Ferris Ross, 85, died peacefully at her home Aug. 3, 2012, with her beloved granddaughter, Jillian Jones; and loving friends, Mary and Cathy, at her side. She was born April 1, 1927, daughter of William and Janet Ferris. She married Colin T. Ross Jan. 25, 1947. She and Colin moved to Troy in 1951, where she cherished her life as a wife and mother.
She was predeceased by her husband, Colin T. Ross; daughter, Dawn Williams; and brother, Robert Ferris. She is survived by her son, Glenn Ross and wife, Christine, of Exeter; daughter, Alison McCormick of Michigan; son, James Ross and wife, Patricia, of Cornville; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
At Jean’s request there will be no visit hours. Graveside services will be held a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Jean’s favorite charity, The Humane Society, P.O. Box 479, Belfast, ME 04915.
