OWLS HEAD – Nelson E. Harmon, 77, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2012, at his home after a long illness. A memorial service honoring Nelson’s life will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, at Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock St., Rockland. A reception will be afterward at the funeral home’s 104 Limerock St. reception facility. A graveside committal service will be held noon Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Hadley Lake Cemetery, Hadley Road, East Machias.
