OLD TOWN, Maine — A Milford man was arrested for violating his bail conditions Sunday night after police found him out after his curfew.
John Taylor, 19, was part of group of people who were causing a disturbance at about 10:30 p.m. on Stillwater Avenue, Old Town police Sgt. Scott Casey said Monday.
When police ran his name through a law enforcement database, they learned that Taylor was subject to a 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew and arrested him for violating one of the conditions of a previous arrest.
Taylor was indicted last month by the Penobscot County grand jury on two counts of burglary and one count of theft by unauthorized taking.
Those charges stem from his arrest in February in Old Town, where he and Anthony Patricelli, 18, of Old Town were caught hanging out in the basement of an apartment complex on Main Street with stolen items.
Old Town police said at that time that Taylor and Patricelli were staying in an unused storage unit in the basement of the building, and had amassed numerous items belonging to a tenant of that building.
In May, Taylor was sentenced to 48 hours in jail and ordered to pay $671 in restitution for burglary of a motor vehicle, sentenced to another 48 hours for theft and to 48 hours more for forgery.
In July of last year, he was fined $250 after he was convicted of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer.

I thought jail had programs to help people find jobs. It’s those who do not get unemployment or jail benefits etc. They have to do it alone. There are no programs for them. For example, there are no programs for people who quit their job, and there are no programs for suddenly single stay home mothers either.
Also, neither are counted as part of the labor statistics.
There is no such thing as jail benefits. Jail is only a temporary holding facility while people are being held awaiting trial, sentencing or before or after prison. Although, people who serve long state and federal sentences are assisted when they get out, which, is certainly a good thing. Otherwise, they’d have no chance at getting back on their feet and be forced to commit illegal acts to support themselves and stay alive. Pretty hard for a person who just did a large amount of years to make the transition back to normal life.
And, there is a program for everything and everyone. You only have to look. Job Corps and Career Center are two well known examples. There’s general assistance for people who are struggling to pay their bills, and places like DHS and Penquis can offer some good leads and assistance. As far as “suddenly single stay at home mothers” im not too terribly taught on such things, so, I cant offer any words although I am not surprised they are not included in the labor statistics. Cant really account for everything and everyone, can we? I mean, suddenly single stay home moms surely struggle severely sometimes, but I dont feel like theres enough of them nor do they last long enough to be made into a statistic (cant be suddenly single for too long, really, if you think about it).

People do hire people with records, as long as they are honest about it.
This young man has a real bad attitude that needs adjustment before he hurts or kills someone.
Are you kidding me? He is 19 years old with minor convictions on his record. Nothing violent at all. Yet you instantly assume he is going to kill someone? Right. Here’s a tip: Not everyone who breaks the law goes on to hurt and kill people, smart guy. Where do they assemble people like you?
I believe if you check the stats you will find most violent criminals start out with minor convictions on their record. Just look at the hate in this mans eyes. He needs mental help.
Obviously most violent criminals start with minor convictions. You dont go right to violent crime. But that is hardly an argument to support your original position. It proves nothing. Of course some people graduate, but not many of them. Thats like saying “I drink Whiskey, but It could be argued I started with Milk.” As far as this kid, its awfully hard to tell whats going on behind the eyes by looking at them. Personally, based on how red they are, Id say he was crying. I doubt he really is all that much to worry about. Just some kid.
Seems as if this John Taylor is a S-L-O-W learner! If this is the career path you have chosen you may want to rethink your decision. You’re not very good at it!

The whole point is this kid screwed up . He is on bail conditions. Sorry when you screw up you need to follow the rules they set. he got off way to easy for the crap he already pulled. Yes I went out after 8 but never on bail conditions or probation conditions. Some people have no respect for the law even when they are let off easy.
