WATERVILLE, Maine — An Augusta man who doesn’t have a driver’s license is facing charges after a drunken spree in which he stole a woman’s van and crashed it, police said.
Michael Jordan, 27, is charged with operating under the influence, theft and criminal trespass, Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said.
The trouble started when an accident was reported on Wilkes Street at 4:41 a.m. Saturday, Rumsey said. A witness stated that Jordan and a woman got out of the vehicle and went into the woman’s residence.
When officers arrived, they could hear the woman ordering Jordan to leave the apartment, Rumsey said. The woman notified police that Jordan had forced his way into her van and crashed it with her in the passenger seat.
Police arrested Jordan, and when they tried to get him into a cruiser he was uncooperative and slammed his head on the divider between the front and rear seats, Rumsey said.
Police pepper sprayed Jordan until he finally cooperated, Rumsey said. He was booked into the Kennebec County Jail, where he remained Monday.

Did he steal it drunkenly, or was he just drunk when he stole it? Just asking…
steal is the verb
drunkenly is how he stole it, making it the adverb
You had Mr Haskell for English, didn’t you???
Odd that you should ask. Actually, it was a Miss Haskell. She looked like an old bulldog and heaven forbid you diagram a sentence wrong! :)
