FREEPORT, Maine — Maine Democratic Party activists and supporters are gathering for their big annual fundraising event in Freeport.
The Muskie Lobster Bake is set for Sunday at Wolfe’s Neck Farm in Freeport. Democrats say funds raised at the event will be used for legislative races as they try to win back State House majorities they lost two years ago.
U.S. Reps. Mike Michaud and Chellie Pingree of Maine and other candidates are expected to attend Sunday’s event.
Last year’s Muskie Lobster Bake was re-billed as a Hurricane Party as heavy rain and high winds from the remnants of Hurricane Irene arrived in Maine.

Awww, they didn’t opt for out-of-state treats like the Maine Tea Party group did with Chick-Fil-A?
Lobster is cheaper than chicken.
On which planet? Lobster meat is not cheaper than chicken. Sry.
If it involves the Democrats, it’ll be the “half-baked” Lobster Bake.
In June 2011, the Democrats announced the Maine “Get a Clue” Tour to find out what voters wanted. The only significant input was that Aroostook County Democrats want a certified organic Slaughterhouse. So what great lesson will be learned at the “Tomalley Bally?”
That is painfully funny because it’s pretty much true!
Proceeds to go to Angus King…Shhhhhhh
