ST. DAVID – Marline Lagasse, 73, passed away Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born Dec. 16, 1938, in Grand Isle, daughter of the late Abel and Madeleine (Levesque) Beaulieu.
Knitting and crocheting were two of her passions in life. Marline enjoyed spending time with her family, especially large family gatherings, and watching her grandchildren grow up.
She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Norman Lagasse of St. David; three daughters, Diane Daigle and husband, Andy, of Madawaska, Tammy Daigle of Madawaska and Gail Beaupre and husband, Alan, of St. David; five sons, Leo Lagasse and wife, Rina, of Grand Isle, Roger Lagasse and wife, Nicole, of Madawaska, Norman Lagasse and wife, Rina, of Madawaska, Elden Lagasse of New Hampshire and Jason Lagasse and wife, Amy, of Benton; 19 grandchildren, April, Ryan, Mindy, Carrie, Sara, Cindy, Crystal, Kylie, Curtis, Nick, Alex, Faith, Devin, Daxton, Kenan, Logan, Ashton, Maggie and Julie; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Rachel Cyr of Madawaska; two brothers, Russell and Gene Beaulieu, both of Grand Isle; and her special cat, Pepper. She was predeceased by her first husband, Joel Lagasse; granddaughter, Samantha Beaupre; one sister, Shirley Cyr; and one brother, James Beaulieu.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, at St. David Church. Family and friends may offer their condolences 9 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
