JACKSON, Maine — The former chief of the Thorndike Fire Department turned himself in at the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday where he was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
Mark Fuller, 33, of Knox is accused of pushing his former girlfriend into a porch railing at her home in Jackson. The railing broke and the woman fell, but she was not seriously injured, according to Chief Deputy Jeff Trafton.
The incident was reported by the victim at 10:14 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10. Fuller and the woman have a child together. He confronted her at her Bog Road home after he concluded that she was with another man at the house. Fuller was concerned for the child, Trafton said, reading from an officer’s report on the incident.
Trafton said Fuller was convicted of the sexual abuse of a minor in February 2010.
Low and behold, they didn’t release Sally Struthers blood alcohol content. This guy gets an unrelated past charge put in the newspaper! He isn’t a celebrity so it is ok. If Mr. Fuller’s girlfriend was with another a man she deserved to be pushed. I think cheating should be a form of domestic violence. What do I know, Carrie Underwood can sing a song about trashing a guys property for cheating and everyone thinks it is great! A women cheats she is a victim, a man cheats and he is a monster! I appreciate double standards. At least the County gets to make money off the fines.
