BANGOR, Maine — A 22-year-old Millinocket man was arrested Friday night after Bangor police received a call from a Valley Avenue resident who wanted him out.
Not only did Jacob Patterson refuse to leave, he also reportedly yelled at police who responded and then shoved Officer Richard Polk while Polk was attempting to handcuff him, Bangor police Lt. Tom Reagan said Tuesday.
After police subdued Patterson, they arrested him on charges of disorderly conduct and refusing to submit to arrest, Reagan said.

A gentleman (or a lady) knows when it is time to leave. Usually when someone tells you to go, it is time to go. This guy clearly does not understand that and he is lucky that more forceful methods of encouraging him to leave were not used.
you mean taser right
That is one option. Whatever is necessary to get the job done.
Well how do you expect a man to just get up and leave when he is already exstatic and lost as it is . . Where do you want him to leave to? The man did leave the property and walked out into the grass and sat down. The cops then arrived and as said man stood up and asked where he was going he was thrown onto the ground without hesitation and asked how much bath salts he had that night. The man replied with none and that he didn’t even know what they looked like. Then the cop then proceeded to wrench said mans arms behind his back without ever asking him to put them there like is required. This man did nothing but what he was asked to do and still got screwed in the end. Gotta love Bangor PD
Did you witness the incident? Because if you did, it sounds like the officer should be held accountable.
I was said guy and I can recall everything I did
In that case if I were you I would file a complaint with the Bangor PD. Police are supposed to protect and serve, and it does not sound like this officer did either.
No he did not and I have the marks on my arms from where I hit the ground to prove it. But think about it how often does Bangor PD lose?
“‘man was arrested Bangor police received a call from a Valley Avenue resident who wanted him out'”
I hear [police scanner] and read these types of stories almost weekly, usually it is just reported in a police log,’resident calls police, wants guest out’. Often it is a circle of friends getting together for a night of drinking at a home, then one of the friends or an acquaintance of a friend , gets ‘too drunk’ and starts getting out of control. Than the homeowner call the polices and ‘reports person wont leave’. The issue i see is , if a homeowner or a renter has a party, be more careful who you let show up. It costs taxpayers $money$ to have police show up and do your dirty work of being careless.
