WINTERVILLE AND FORT KENT – Camille Cyr, 90, died peacefully Oct. 19, 2012, at a Fort Kent health care facility. He was born Dec. 23, 1921, at Eagle Lake, son of Adolphe and Eveline (Chasse) Cyr.
Camille worked as a moler for O.Z. Gedney Electric Co., Terryville, Conn., for 26 years. He was a permit tee and on the board of directors for Le Franco American Club, Bristol, Conn.
In addition to parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Juanita (Blanchette) Cyr, in 1962; and nine siblings. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews. The family extends a special thank you to Margarite and Ron Soucy, and Dana Laferriere for the time they gave of themselves for Camille; and also the staff of Mercy Home, Eagle Lake, for their wonderful care given to Camille.
Graveside services will be at the convenience of the family at a later date in Connecticut. Those who wish, donations may be made in Camille’s memory to Edgar J. Paradis Cancer Fund, 194 E. Main St., Fort Kent, ME 04773. Arrangements have been entrusted to Daigle Funeral Home, 14 E. Main St., Fort Kent.
