LEBANON, Maine — Saturday night, officials responded to reports of a two-vehicle hit-and-run crash on Carl Broggi Highway, with four people injured in one car.
Asst. Rescue Chief Jason Cole of the Lebanon Rescue Department said at 6:15 p.m. an accident was reported on the highway near Stokewood Drive in Center Lebanon. While crews were responding, they were updated that one vehicle had fled the scene and there were still several people in the struck car.
A Jeep SUV vehicle, operated by a 31-year-old Farmington woman with three young children as passengers, was found with heavy damage to the front-end and driver’s side of the vehicle. Cole said the collision appeared to be a head-on crash and Maine State Police were searching for the other vehicle involved later Saturday night.
The Farmington woman was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester with minor injuries. The three children were wearing seatbelts and protective seats at the time of the crash. They were treated at the scene and did not require transport to the hospital.
Carl Broggi Highway was closed to all traffic for about 10 minutes while the SUV was towed away. Emergency crews were on scene for about one hour until the vehicle was removed.
The Lebanon Rescue Department responded to the incident along with Maine State Police and Lebanon Fire Department.

Indeed she does! A surprising number of drivers/passengers not belted in.
It will take time, and I suspect enough evidence was left behind to eventually identify the vehicle that left the scene.
Maybe there’s no witnesses that could provide a descripton of the other vehicle. After all 6:15 pm it’s dark.
