STOCKTON SPRINGS – David C. Heath, 72, died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012, in Bangor. He was born Aug. 11, 1940, a son of Harland and Beatrice (Gray) Heath.
David worked most of his life in building construction. After retiring he could be found tinkering around the yard tearing small engines apart, repairing them and putting them back together. He volunteered a lot of his time at the area food pantries and delivered food to folks unable to get out. David tried to be a good neighbor being generous with his time, talents and material goods. He was always known as a hard worker.
He is survived and will be sadly missed by his two children, daughter, Melody Lynn Heath and David Scott Heath, both of Kenduskeag; two grandchildren, Melissa Scripture and husband, James, of Levant and Shawn Garland and girlfriend, Katrina, of Bangor; two great-grandchildren, Tayler and Ethan Scripture. He is also survived by 10 brothers and sisters, as well as many, many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, David was predeceased by his wife, Judith A. Heath in 2004; and two brothers, Peter and Paul.
Family and friends will gather for visitation from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, at Mitchell-Tweedie Funeral Home, 28 Elm St., Bucksport, with Pastor Peter Remick officiating. Interment will be in the spring.
