SANFORD, Maine — Sanford police are looking for a man who robbed the York County Credit Union on Thursday.

Detective Sgt. Matt Jones said the suspect entered the credit union just after 1:30 p.m. and demanded money from a teller.

The suspect did not display a weapon, the sergeant said. He escaped on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white man in his late 20s, heavyset, with facial hair and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a brown hooded sweatshirt, sunglasses and a black hat.
