SPRING, TEXAS – Michael A. Walton, 58, was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Presque Isle, son of the late Floyd Sr. and Loretta (Michaud) Walton. He passed away Feb. 9, 2013, at home.
Mike “refused to lose” to chronic myelomonocytic leukemia for five long years. He was a 1974 graduate of Presque Isle High School. Mike lived in the Houston area for 35 years, where he pursued his career in masonry and opened Walton Masonry in 2006. He enjoyed talking with children, being with family and friends, collecting guns and building things. Mike was a very righteous man.
Mike is survived by his wife of 22 years, Jayne Peterson; two sons, Evan and Logan; one daughter, Raygan; two brothers, Floyd Jr. and Lee; two sisters, Brenda and Kathy; several nieces and nephews. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.
A memorial service was held Feb. 14 in Conroe, Texas.
