LUBEC – Pastor Daniel William Fritschle, 71, went to be with his Lord on the Ides of March 15, 2013, surrounded by his loving family at a Bangor hospital. He was born July 23, 1941, son of Ernest A. and Beatrice I. (Stephens) Fritschle.
He worked 20-plus years for BP as a oil refinery operator, and later received his bachelor’s degree in theology from Melody Land School of Theology, Anaheim,Calif. He felt he had fulfilled a lifelong dream when he became the pastor for Lubec Christian Temple Church. He also served as a missionary for more than 10 years in Africa and India. He enjoyed working in his apple orchard, blueberries and ice cream. He will be greatly missed by his family, as well as his Lubec and church family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Patricia (Trowbridge) Fritschle; father, Ernest Fritschle; two sons, Paul and Gareth; daughter, Noelle; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Dennis and Philip; three sisters, Mary, Ruth and Joy; and many friends.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, at Lubec Christian Temple Church with the Rev. Alan Andreas officiating. Condolences and memories may be shared with the Fritschle family by visiting their book of memories at
