HOULTON – Edith Lillian “Aunt Dee” Jones, 90, died April 14, 2013, in Houlton. She was born Oct. 6, 1922, in Brookton, the daughter of Laroy and Lillian (Thornton) Nason.
She retired from Pratt & Whitney and enjoyed square dancing.
She is survived by nephew, Lawrence Lyon; five nieces, Ruth Foster, Bonnie Sue Kilmartin, Sharon Binette, Jeannie Call Bennett and Genevieve Gilpatrick; and many great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she loved greatly. She was predeceased by her husband, Alton Jones; sisters, Bernice Call, Virgina Clough, Mavis Gilman and Grace Coy; and twin siblings, Alta and Laroy; and great-nieces and great-nephews, John Gilman Jr., Norma Melanson and Roland and Joan Caldwell.
Friends may call noon-1 p.m. Friday, at Brookton Pentecostal Church with a funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Frank Godley officiating. Spring interment will be at Brookton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local Humane Society. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
