RANGELEY, Maine — Game wardens plan to resume their search on Wednesday for the bodies of two snowmobilers believed to be in Rangeley Lake.

“As far as I know, they’ll be back out there with the sonar,” Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife spokesman Doug Rafferty said just after 8 a.m. Wednesday.

“They’ll be trying to identify targets,” said Rafferty.

Recovery efforts for the missing men, John Spencer, 41, of Litchfield and Kenneth Henderson, 40, of China, were halted Tuesday because of strong winds on the lake.

The body of Glenn Henderson, 43, of Sabattus was found on Friday.

Rafferty said Tuesday a couple of targets were identified by the sonar equipment, but he didn’t go into further details.

Henderson and Spencer have been missing since their snowmobiles plunged into the lake during a ride on New Year’s Eve.
