HOLDEN – Craig C. MacDonald Sr., 50, died unexpectedly June 8, 2013, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Oct. 21, 1962, son of Robert E. and Doris (Countryman) MacDonald.
Craig was a graduate of Brewer High School. He was the former owner of Holden General Store and the Bucksport Dunkin Donuts and at the time of his death was employed with My Taxi. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Craig was predeceased by his father; and brother, Mark. Surviving in addition to his mother, Doris of Holden, is his children, Craig “CJ” Charles MacDonald Jr. of Dedham, Jessica O’Neill of Newburgh and Joshua O’Neill of Eddington; grandchildren, Aiden and Thomas; two brothers, Bruce MacDonald and wife, Kathy, of Clifton, and Scott MacDonald of Holden; sister, Lynn (MacDonald) Storen and husband, Frederick, of Eddington; sister-in-law, Mary MacDonald of Clifton; his former wife, Robyn Huntley of Dedham; his dog, Riley; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 11, at the Brewer Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 55 South Main St., Brewer, where a funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, with the Rev. Roger Tracy, officiating. The family invites folks for refreshments, to the home of Bruce MacDonald, after the service.
