WISCASSET – John A. Roe Jr., 69, of Federal Street, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, at his residence. He was born March 2, 1944, in Chelsea, Mass., son of John A. and Ann O. (Heath) Roe Sr.
He graduated from Hamden Academy, Worcester Academy Prep School and from Husson College with a business degree. He was employed as a truck driver for Yarmouth Lumber, Gray, for several years, and was a U.S. Army veteran. John enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the north Maine woods.
He was predeceased by his sister, Jacqueline (Roe) Lloyd; parents; stepmother, Kay Roe; and dog and friend, Amos. He is survived by one son, John F. Roe of Bridgton; one daughter, Mary A. MacElman and husband, Tom, of Wiscasset; one brother-in-law, Alex Lloyd of Connecticut; nieces, Erin and Andrea; and nephews, John, David and Peter.
