KINGMAN – Ralph Earl “Zeke” Doane Sr., 75, walked through the pearly gates of heaven, June 11, 2013, at a Bangor hospital, after a short, courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, with his wife, son, daughter-in-law and sister-in-law, by his side. He was born Nov. 24, 1937, in Kingman, to Earl and Janette (Brittain) Doane.
Ralph “Zeke,” loved working in his garden, working around the yard, going to the store or restaurant for breakfast with all his friends, and going to Kentucky with Jimmy Parent. He loved his wife and son very much and would walk on hot coals for them. He worked for Eastern Maine Electric for 34 years as a first class lineman. He also enjoyed horse-pulling throughout the years.
Ralph leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Wanda L. Doane of Kingman; their son, Ralph E. “Tate” Doane, and Erin and Megan Lincoln, of Edmunds; a son from a former marriage, Dennis Doane of Lincoln; a brother; a sister; and several nieces and nephews. He also leaves special friends, Jimmy and Blanch Parent, Jackie Worster and many others. He was predeceased by his parents; a sister; and three brothers.
