OAKHAM, MASS. – Keith A. McKeen, 86, passed away June 8, 2013 at his residence. Keith was born in Bridgewater, the son of the late Frank A. and Marion (Katchum) McKeen and had lived many years in Oakham, Mass., and Bridgewater.
He was a World War II Army veteran serving overseas in both Japan and Philippines as a staff sergeant. Keith worked for Perini Corp. of Framingham, Mass., where he was the heavy equipment manager in Israel, Egypt and Alaska for 35 years until he retired. He was a member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 4; the Shriners in Springfield, Mass., and Deer Isle. After retiring to Maine he enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling, snowmobiling and golfing with his friends at Mars Hill Country Club.
He leaves his wife of 66 years, Kathleen A. (Burtt) McKeen; a son, Kenneth B. McKeen of Northboro; three sisters, Helena Porter of Island Falls, Barbara Archibald and her husband, Phillip, of Madison, Wis., and Mary Lou Hills and her husband, Peyton, of Syracuse, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Michael, Timothy, Pamela and Lisa; four great-grandchildren, two special daughters-in-law, Patricia and Linda; and his special friend and helper, Julie. He was predeceased by a son, Lynn McKeen in 2000; and two brothers, Wayne and Eugene.

to attend a Memorial Service 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at the Oakham Congregational Church, 4 Coldbrook Road, Oakham. Burial with full military honors will be in South Cemetery, Oakham, Mass.
