ARUNDEL, Maine — A traffic stop Sunday evening led to multiple charges for an Old Orchard Beach woman after she led deputies on a short pursuit.

After York County sheriff’s deputies pulled over Bonnie Roberge, 41, at the Arundel Market on Route 1, they learned she had a warrants for violating a protection order and violating conditions of release, according to Chief Deputy William King.

When police ordered Roberge to step out of her car, she took off onto Route 1, leading deputies on a 200-yard pursuit before pulling over, King said.

Roberge was taken into custody and charged with the two warrants, along with operating under the influence and refusing to submit to arrest.

She remained at the York County Jail Tuesday.
