ISLAMORADA, Fla. – On the early morning of June 26, 2013, George E. Veillette Jr., passed away peacefully with his wife, Susan, and children by his side. He was born March 21, 1945, in Rumford, and was the first and eldest son of Theresa and George Veillette Sr.
He is survived by his wife, Susan; three children and their spouses, Darlene, Jeff and Renee; six living siblings and their spouses; three stepchildren; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
George lived in Maine during the summer and Islamorada, Fla., in the winter. There he enjoyed boating, fishing and telling many fish tales that he shared with all. What a chuckle to be had. His summer months were spent with his children, family and many friends; golfing, lobstering, and biking with the “brothers of the club” and he especially enjoyed visiting with his “old friends.” George was highly revered and respected with all he encountered, leaving us with many special and joyful memories. His last testament was “It has been one hell of a ride.”
