BAILEYVILLE – Philip James Robb Jr., 64, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Philip was born Feb. 18, 1949, in Calais, son of the late Frances and Philip Robb Sr.
He graduated from Woodland High School, class of 1967, and started his career with Georgia Pacific in July of 1967. Philip retired Feb. 18, 2011, after 44 years of service with the mill. He enjoyed bowling, participating in the annual Eastern Maine Bowling Tournament, and was a past State of Maine Bowling Champion. Philip also enjoyed playing cards, slots and dancing with his wife. He loved his family dearly as well as spending time with his numerous friends. Philip was charismatic and full of life. He brightened rooms with his smile and sense of humor. Philip has touched the lives of many and will be remembered through his stories.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Tony Bubar. Surviving is his loving wife, Candy Robb of Baileyville; two children, Tony Robb and companion, Carissa O’Brien, of Portland and Angela Robb and companion, Jessica Paar, of Key West, Fla.; mother-in-law, Spot Thornton; sisters-in-law, Rosie and Terri Wormell and husband, Paul; nieces and nephews, Debbie, David, Josh, Tiffany and Todd; great-niece, MacKenzie; great-nephew, Logan; and numerous other family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 15, at Mays Funeral Home, 26 Church St., Calais. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 16, at St. James the Greater R.C. Church, Baileyville. Burial will be afterward at Woodland Cemetery.
