BANGOR – Clayton David Ellis, 58, died Aug. 3, 2013, after a battle with cancer at a Bangor hospital, surrounded by family and friends. He was born April 6, 1955, in Bangor, to Clarence and Ola Louise Ellis. His spirit is now free to ride his motorcycle on heaven’s clouds while listening to the Blues.
Clayton never forgot a name or a face. Anyone in need could count on Clayton’s help. His huge personality and witty sense of humor endeared him to all.
Clayton rode his motorcycle from early in the spring to late in the fall. He enjoyed telling the story that he loaded up his motorcycle with 11 bags of groceries and two watermelons, then drove them 20 miles home and didn’t spill anything.
Clayton was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his son, Joel Ellis; and siblings, Ginger Ellis, Penny Amore, Missy Zimmer and Mark Ellis. His other families, Walter and Janice Guyette, Lisa Ellis, Ryan Levesque, Mark Smith, Chaz Nelson, Denise Smith, Kris Smith, Randy Freeman, Trinity Clark, Korey Clark, Kylie Smith, and McKenna Smith; and his best friend and brother for 38 years, Daniel “Dano” Clarke.

A pot luck Memorial Service celebrating Clayton’s life will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, in the gazebo at Bangor Motor Inn, 713 Hogan Road, Bangor.
