GUILFORD – Edward E. Lankist, 74, died Aug. 12, 2013, at Kindred Hospital, Brighton, Mass. He was born March 15, 1939, in Guilford, the son of William L. and Hilda (Priest) Lankist. Edward had worked at Guilford Industries for many years. He attended St. Thomas Catholic Church, Dover-Foxcroft, where he was active with the Knights of Columbus; he was also a member of the Grange.
He is survived by a son, Edward Jody Lankist of Bushnell, Fla.; two brothers, Frank Lankist of Enterprise, Ala., and William Lankist of China Village; three grandchildren, Ashley, Kimberly, and Elizabeth Lankist; and a great-grandson, Elix Donahue.
Friends may visit with the family 5-7 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, at Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. A graveside memorial service will be conducted 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in the family lot at Dover Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
