MADAWASKA – Arthur L. St. Amant, 85, passed away on Aug. 19, 2013, at a Madawaska health care facility. He was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Van Buren, son of the late Arness and Emily (Madore) St. Amant.
After his retirement, Arthur and his wife enjoyed spending time together, while traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Jennie (Boilard) St. Amant; one sister, Noella Nadeau of Ontario; two brothers, Nelson St. Amant and his wife, Therese, of Ontario and Paul Emile St. Amant of Bangor; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Roland; and one sister, Lucille.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. At Arthur’s request, there will be no visiting hours. Burial will be held in the parish cemetery immediately after the service. For online condolences, please visit www.lajoiefuneralhome.com.
