WASHBURN – Beth Dow, 55, passed away on Saturday August 17, 2013, at Maine Medical Center in Portland. She was born in Caribou on March 9, 1958, the daughter of Jack and Nancy (White) Maynard.
Beth worked at Converse Shoe Co. in Presque Isle, and then for Sperrey’s Superette in Washburn. She loved gardening and her cats, and was a fighter when it came to overcoming her chronic illness.
She is survived by three daughters, Merissa Lind and her husband David of Raymond, twin daughters; Marian and Sibena Dow of Washburn, a sister Lori Jackson of Presque Isle, and a brother Bryan “Pat” Maynard of Washburn, three aunts; Bonnie Weatherhead of Little Madawaska Lake, Henrietta Chandler of Washburn, and Linda Szcepanska of Warsaw, Poland, 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 5 step children. Beth was predeceased by her husband Travis Linwood Dow in 2003, her parents, and her grandmother Loretta White.
Friends may call at noon Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle, where funeral services will be held at 1PM with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating.
