VAN BUREN AND SOUTH PARIS – Armand P. Gagnon, 93, of South Paris, formerly of Van Buren, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2013, at a South Paris healthcare facility. He was born in St. Leonard, NB, Canada, on March 25, 1920, a son of the late Michel and Olive (Durepos) Gagnon.
He served with the US Army during World War II and worked with Maine Line Fence, Cumberland, for over 25 years.
He is survived by: his daughter, Beatrice McLaughlin and her husband Richard of East Eddington; two sons, Elmer Dumont of South Portland and Wayne Gagnon of Lisbon Falls; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Armand was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Phoebe Gagnon, and many brothers and sisters.
There will be no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou, with military honors.
