PLYMOUTH, N.H. – Arthur Franklin Mahar Junior, 70, born on March 30, 1943, in St. Stephen, N.B., passed away peacefully at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, N.H., on Sept. 24, 2013.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Patricia Ortolani of Center Harbor, N.H.; her sons, Michael, grandson, Mitchell, Todd Merifield; as well as his good friend who he considered a brother, Thayer Baker and his wife, Jody; and daughter, Karen. His former wife, Jean; his children, Laura, Arthur, Thomas, Joseph, Kelley, and Michele; as well as grandchildren, Kaleigh, Ryan, Rachael, Wyatt, Miranda, Jayce, Jeno, Jocelyn, Maura, and Halle’.
He was predeceased by sisters, Murial and Rena; a brother, Peter; his father, Arthur Franklin Mahar Sr.; and his mother, Flora K. Mahar.
He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and more friends than one could count.
There will be a graveside memorial service held at 1 p.m. Oct. 3, at Clarkside Cemetery in Pembroke.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the VNA of Laconia, N.H.; or of one’s choice.
