BREWER and HERMON – Randell E. Kelley, 51, died unexpectedly, Oct. 1, 2013, at his father’s home shortly after his mother’s funeral. He was born Jan. 8, 1962, in Bangor, the son of David L and Marguerite J. (Demmons) Kelley.
Randy served 10 years with the U.S. Army with a combat engineer and transport unit. He worked for several years with his father and uncle for Kelley Tree Service. Randy had several interests. He enjoyed collecting Nascar memorabilia of which he had and extensive collection and he collected old coins. However, Randy loved to fish especially with his father. He enjoyed brook fishing and always had the “secret” fishing hole. He fished until the day he was called home to God.
Surviving are his father, David L. Kelley of Hermon; two daughters, Jenny and Allyson of Lynn Haven, Fla.; two sisters, Gail Moor of Bangor, and Cindy Conners and her husband, Kevin, of Milford; two brothers, his twin, Ronald Kelley and his wife, Leslee, of Scarborough, and Gary Kelley of Hermon; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his mother on Sept. 26, 2013.
A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, at Pine Grove Cemetery, Hammond St. Ext., Bangor, with Pastor David Bean of the Beacon of Hope Church, presiding. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions for educational purposes to benefit his daughters, Jenny and Allyson, care of the Kelley Family, 6 Bunker Hill Ter., Scarborough, ME 04074.
