No School Day Camps
BANGOR — Registration is now open for No School Day Camps offered at Fields4Kids when there is no school or early dismissal. All camps will be held at the Fields4Kids Indoor Sports Facility located at 129 Farm Road in Bangor. Camps are open to boys and girls ages 6 to 14.
Children will stay active throughout the day with tag games, dodge ball, kick ball, soccer and more. Campers staying for a full day should bring a brown bag lunch and snacks for morning and afternoon. Campers should bring flats, sneakers or cleats.
Three sessions offered each week:
• 9 a.m.-noon at a cost of $25.
• 1-4 p.m., $25.
• 9 a.m.-4 p.m., $40.
Early drop off at 8 a.m. and late pick up at 5 p.m. options are available for an additional $5 per child.

Banquet reschedled
BREWER — The Central Maine Chapter of the Ruffed Grouse Society’s third annual Conservation and Sportsmen’s Banquet scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 26, at Penobscot County Conservation Alliance, 570 North Main St., has been rescheduled to Saturday, Nov. 23.
Social hour and raffle at will take place 6 p.m.; dinner at 7:30 p.m. The cost is individual membership and dinner, $60; membership and dinner for two $95.

Double Trouble Trail Race
ORLAND and SULLIVAN — Two Hancock County land trusts are teaming up to offer a joint trail run. The Downeast Double Trouble Trail Race Challenge will take place over two weekends, with Great Pond Mountain Conservation Trust’s Wildlands Trail Run on Sunday, Oct. 27, and Frenchman Bay Conservancy’s Autumn Trail Race on Sunday, Nov. 3. Runners or walkers who tackle and finish both races will receive a special prize.
The Wildlands Trail Run in Orland’s scenic Great Pond Mountain Wildlands on Oct. 27 is a 6.3-mile loop on dirt roads and single track, over roots, rocks and mud, up and down hills, over small streams, past lovely views and munching moose. Total climb is approximately 800 feet. Registration will start at 10 a.m., race at 11 a.m.

Frenchman Bay Conservancy’s Autumn Trail Race on Nov. 3 will start and finish at Sumner Memorial High School in Sullivan. Runners traverse the tight, single-track hiking trails of the conservancy’s Baker Hill and Long Ledges Preserves, encountering steep climbs, exposed granite ledges, gorgeous views, tree roots, varied and wild terrain, old white pines, a glimpse of Long Pond and the chance to twist an ankle.

Lunch will be available at both events. Cost for each event is $15 in advance or $20 day of the race. Register in advance at either website for both races for $25. Those who sign up for and complete both races (and register in advance for both by Oct. 13) receive a Downeast Double Trouble Trail Race Challenge technical T-shirt. Each race also has tees available for those who register in advance and prizes for top finishers. Advance registration closes one week before each race.
