BLAINE – Kathleen Pearl Crouse, 86, passed away Wednesday evening, Oct. 9, 2013, at a Mars Hill health center. She was born on July 25, 1927, in Mars Hill, the daughter of Perley and Gertrude (Tapley) Shaw.
Kathleen attended school in Mars Hill and later worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at the Aroostook Health Center in Mars Hill. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Big 13 ATV Club and always enjoyed spending her summers at Campers Paradise in Westfield.
She is survived by her daughters, Carleen “Bonnie” Saucier and her husband, Jerry, of Presque Isle, Kathy Allen and her husband, Derek, of Mars Hill, and Patty Christmas and her husband, David, of South Carolina; a daughter-in-law, Sherry Crouse of Blaine; sons, Calvin Crouse and his wife, Minona, of Blaine, and Wellington “Jake” Crouse Jr. and his wife, Renae, of Blaine; a brother, Joe Shaw of Mars Hill; sister, Eva Kinney of Mars Hill; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind close friends, Robert Rockwood, Joyce Clockedile, and Linda Gallupe of Mars Hill. In addition to her parents, Kathleen was predeceased by her husband, Wellington Crouse Sr.; son, Eldon Crouse Sr.; two brothers; and five sisters.
Friends may call noon Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Old Fashion Revival Center, Blaine, until the time of service. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. with Pastor Mark Carter, officiating.
