DEXTER – Marion H. Farrenkopf, 93, died Oct. 16, 2013, at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft . She was born March 30, 1920, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Davis) Lanpher.
She graduated from Dexter High School, class of 1940. Marion worked for Dexter Shoe Company for 23 years and later worked for R.H. Renys in Dexter. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Dexter.
She is survived by two sons, Karl Farrenkopf and his wife, Kathy of Connecticut, and Jeffery and Teresa of North Carolina; a daughter, Glenda Moore and her husband, Jeff, of Abbot; a daughter-in-law, Dale Perigo of Dexter; a brother, Omar Lanpher of Massachusetts; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Carl H. Farrenkopf; a son, Rudy; a brother, Herbert; and two sisters, Inez Holt, and Virginia Cooley Andrews.
Friends call 9-10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, at Crosby & Neal, 61 Main St., Dexter. Graveside services will follow at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
