STETSON – Dana E. Shirley, 54, passed away Nov. 1, 2013, after a short courageous battle with lung cancer. Dana was born March 11, 1959, son of Wayne Shirley and Harriet Shirley.
Dana was a master electrician, and took great pride in his work. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth, of 36 years; father, Wayne Shirley and wife, Kaye, of Orland; sisters, Doris Shirley, and Peggy Rokes and husband, Rick, of Bangor; daughter, Amy Bean and husband, Daniel, and their children, Jacob, and Ethan of Hudson; son, Jason Shirley wife, Kelly, and their children, Danielle, and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Kinley of Indiana; brothers, Tom Shirley and wife, Melanie, of New York, and Bruce Shirley of Washington; mother-in-law, Caroline Louise Charette; several brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, nieces, and nephews; his special friend, Wendy Trojano; his fishing buddy and brother-in-law, Michael Hazelton Sr.; and his special dog, Bella. He was predeceased by his mother, Harriet; and his brother, John Shirley.

Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 6, at New Apostolic Church, 2844 Broadway, Glenburn. Graveside service to follow at Pinegrove Cemetery, Outer Hammond Street, Bangor.
