EAST MILLINOCKET – Frances L. Fraser, 70, wife of the late Barry J. Fraser, and loving mother, Bubba, and GG, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. She was born July 31, 1943, in Millinocket, the daughter of Bernard and Frances (Hartley) Spencer.
Frances grew up in Medway, and was a graduate of Schenck High High School, class of 1961. Frances enjoyed visiting all the local churches for Bible studies and services. She enjoyed the simple things in life-spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, landscaping her yard, and especially pickin’ weeds. A ride up the Grindstone Road, a chance to go out to eat or go shopping would always make a great day for Frances. She will be remembered as a very selfless individual, always thinking of the concerns of others before herself.
Frances is survived by her three children, Raymond Fraser and his wife, Geri, of East Millinocket, Robin McLaughlin and her husband, Rick, of Medway, and Elizabeth “Gus” Fraser-Read and her husband, Tom, of Hudson; five grandchildren, Brooke York and her husband, Michael, Matt and Morgan Fraser, and Emily and Sadie Fraser-Read; two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Luke York; a sister, Helen Reed and her husband, Bobby, of Lagrange; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Frances was predeceased by a sister, Bernadine Spencer.
Frances’ family would like to acknowledge and thank the many special friends that came into her life during her journey over the last 18 months.
Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Zion Pentecostal Church, 249 Medway Road, Mattawamkeag, with the Rev. Rick Libby, pastor, officiating. Interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, East Millinocket. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.lamsonfh.com.
