FARMINGTON – Ina Mae Stymiest, 89, of Norridgewock, passed away peacefully with her daughter, Gail by her side at Sandy River Center on Nov. 13, 2013. The lord has taken her to be with her recently deceased husband Leonard Stymiest of 72 wonderful years of marriage. She was born in North Newport, a daughter of the late George and Viola Leathers.
Ina was a servant to all. A loving, giving, helping and caring woman. Her greatest passion in life was helping those who were less fortunate. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and great-grandmother. Family was a priority in the life. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, baking and was an avid lover of birds and enjoyed collecting teddy bears.
Ina is survived by her three children, Beverly and spouse, John Campochiaro, of Florida, Gail DeGraff of Norridgewock and Terrance Stymiest of Waterville; and a sister, Erma Robinson of Vassalboro; and brother-in-law, Omar and wife, Celia Stymiest of Florida. She also leaves seven grandchildren, John Jr. and wife, Tammy, Michael Campochiaro and friend, Kitty, William DeGraff Jr., Maureen and husband, Trever Tardiff, Mark DeGraff, Travis Stymiest, and Shalina Stymiest; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon, William III, Mark Jr., Maxwell, Britni, TJ, and Hayden; as well as special nieces, nephews and many friends.
A special consideration goes to nieces, Jeanine Conley and Nadine Chadbourne for their countless hours on the phone with Ina and all the help and care they provided for her and the family.
Visitation will be held 12:30-1:30 with a funeral service to be held at 1:30, Sunday Nov. 17 at Redington Funeral Home, 5 Park St., Waterville. Committal prayers to follow at Howard Cemetery in Winslow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Sandy River Center, 119 Livermore Falls Road, Farmington, ME 04938, where she resided for two and a half years and received excellent loving care from all staff.
