WASHBURN – Edna Mae Stewart, 87, wife of the late Franklin Stewart died peacefully Nov. 29, 2013, at her Washburn residence. She was born July 6, 1926, in Caribou, the daughter of the late Winfield and Nettie (McDougal) Doody.
She married Franklin Stewart July 3, 1946, and they celebrated 60 years of marriage prior to his death in 2006.
She is survived by three daughters, June Watson of Caribou, Donna Snowman of Orrington, and Gaynol Padgett of Ridgeland, Miss.; one brother, Maynard Doody of Hudson, Fla.; three sisters, Luenna McBreairty of Manchester, Conn., Hazel Corbell of Fulton, Miss., and Amber Sigg of Blossvale, N.Y; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Mrs. Stewart was predeceased by her husband; three children, Franklin and Raelene Stewart and Norma Johnson; a sister, Grace Schruder; and a grandson, Matthew Johnson.
Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 4, from the Chapel of Mockler Funeral Home, with the Rev.
