MILTON, Ky. – Meredith Ann Simmons, 67, died Sunday, Nov. 24, 2013, at University Hospital in Louisville, Ky. She was born July 7, 1946, in Presque Isle. She was the daughter of Gertrude Tingley Brogdon.
Survivors include her husband, James Simmons of Milton, Ky.; one daughter, Sheri Simmons of Jeffersontown, Ky.; and five grandchildren, Jana Givens, Morgan Givens, Katherine Givins, T.J. Hughes, and Emilie Hughes Southern. She was predeceased by two children, Mayme Simmons Hughes, and Jayme Simmons Givens.
The funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2, at Wood-Oakley Funeral Home, Milton, Ky., with burial at Indiana Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, Madison, Ind. Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Sunday. Wood-Oakley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
