BANGOR, Maine — A local man with a history of drug offenses faces up to 20 years in prison after his arrest last week on a heroin charge.
Robert Crocker, 49, is accused of aggravated trafficking in schedule W drugs, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency Commander Peter Arno.
Arno said Crocker’s charge was elevated to a Class A aggravating charge due to a heroin possession conviction from 1994.
The events involving Crocker started in September when he apparently sold heroin to an undercover officer, according to Arno.
A lengthy investigation ensued, and on Nov. 25, Crocker was arrested without incident.
Arno would not go into details on the investigation.
Crocker is being held at the Penobscot County Jail.
