JONESPORT – Janet (Pullen) Hayward, 90, died peacefully Nov. 29, 2013, at a Machias health care facility. She was born July 3, 1923, in Lynn, Mass., the daughter of the late Alfred and Florence (Pushard) Pullen.
She is survived by a son, Richard Hayward of Jonesport; granddaughters, Yvonne Hayward of Columbia Falls, and Sandy Chenny of Massachusetts; grandson, Jeff Butler of Massachusetts; great-granddaughter, Kristin Monroe; great-grandson, Jamie Butler; nephews, Joseph W. Hayward of Woodbridge, Va., and Clyde Campbell of Windham; and a close family friend, Sheila Williams of Columbia Falls. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Leo J. Hayward; two sons, Johnny Hayward and James Munroe; and two grandsons, Shawn and Jamie Munroe, all formerly of Jonesport.
Graveside services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, at Greenwood Cemetery, Jonesport, with the Rev. George Woodward officiating.
