BROOKS – Donna Lee (Nickerson) Moody, 67, passed away Dec. 8, 2013, after a long enduring illness. She is now in Heaven pain free and at peace. She was born July 7, 1946, to Paul and Geneva (Martz) Nickerson.
Donna is survived by her loving husband, James Moody Jr.; and her four beloved children; daughter, Jacqueline (Moody) Keller and her husband, Kenneth; daughter, Jeanette Moody; son, James Moody III and his wife, Debra; and son, Jason Moody and his wife, Melinda. She especially loved being Nana to all her grandchildren, Amy and Daniel Keller, Justin Moody and his wife, Heather, Kassaundra Moody and Christian, Kaleb and Gabriella Moody. Donna was the oldest of five siblings, Donald Nickerson and his wife, Donna, David Nickerson and his wife, Sharon, Dale Nickerson, and Duane Nickerson and wife, Linda. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother, Geneva; father, Paul Nickerson; a younger brother, Daniel Nickerson; and a grandson, James Moody IV.
Co-founder of Jim’s Burner Service founded in 1979 with her husband Jim, Donna cherished her role as a wife and mother. She was well known for her cooking skills which she lovingly taught and passed down to her kids and grandkids. She affectionately prepared and served many meals to her family and friends. She loved the Lord as her Savior and held her faith close to her heart.
Family and friends are invited to call 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at Riposta Funeral Home, 182 Waldo Ave., Belfast. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, at Abundant Grace Church, Route 131, Searsmont. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Abundant Grace Church, P.O. Box 10, Searsmont, ME 04973.
