TROY – Linda A. Fletcher, 53, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends, Dec. 6, 2013. Linda was born Jan. 8, 1960, in Dexter.
A graduate of Skowhegan High School, Linda became a CNA for Kno-Wal-In for a number of years before changing careers and becoming a Head Start Teacher in Unity. During that time she also volunteered for Unity Ambulance Corp. Linda enjoyed spending time with her family, along with photography, shopping, her pets, her flower gardens, crafts, the lake, camping, hiking, reading, and she was a extremely devoted Grammy of three boys; Jeremy, Gavin, and Welker.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, Roscoe Hicks Sr. and Lorraine; and her nephew, Roth Hicks all of Detroit. She is survived by her husband, Brian Fletcher of Troy; their two children, Amber Reynolds of Morrill and her husband, Justin, along with their son, Welker, and Justin Fletcher and his partner, Jenni Plumstead, of Troy and their two sons, Jeremy and Gavin; and her brother Roscoe Hicks Jr. and his wife, Roberta, and their two sons, Reece and Riley of Detroit. She will be sadly missed by her best friend, Alisa Oliver of Burnham; along with numerous family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held 1 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 5, at Detroit Night Drifters Snowmobile Club, Detroit.
