ELLSWORTH, Maine — A November car crash turned fatal last week when Jamie Robichaud, 36, of Bucksport died at a Bangor hospital due to the injuries he suffered in the crash.

On Nov. 25, Robichaud was driving south on Bayview Road in Penobscot when he lost control of his car, swerved off the road, hit a telephone pole and then rolled over, according to a press release from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office. Speed, alcohol and the presence of a deer were listed as factors in the crash.

Robichaud was flown to Eastern Maine Medical Center, where he stayed until he died on Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Robichaud had two children and a fiancee, according to an obituary published in the Bangor Daily News. His fiancee also has two children, which he loved as his own, the obituary said.

A memorial service for Robichaud was scheduled for noon Monday, Dec. 16, at the community center in Orland.
