CORINTH – Jean A. Mountain, 70, the wife of Ted Mountain went home to be with her Lord on December 16, 2013. She was born July 10, 1943, in Corinna, the daughter of Hollis W. and Margaret (Fogg) Seamans. She was educated in Corinna Schools all her life.
Jean worked as a Personal Care Attendant for the past 20 years. She enjoyed caring for the elderly in their homes and she was highly regarded in this field. Jean also enjoyed upholstering furniture which she did professionally for several years. She loved company, yard sales, shopping in thrift stores, blessing others and cooking for her family. Jean loved the Lord with all her heart.
Jean is survived by a son, Brian Wallace and his fiancee, Stephanie Estees, of Charleston; a daughter, Sheila Scott and her husband, Karl, of Garland; 15 special grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alden Seamans and his wife, Joanne, of Connecticut, Richard Seamans and his wife, Rita, of Dexter and David Seamans and his wife, Sue, of Vermont; and special sisters-in-law, Fran Seamans of Dexter and Carol Seamans of Stetson. She was predeceased by her parents; two sisters, Phyllis and Faye; and four brothers, Robert, Shirley, Trueman and Darrel.
At Jean’s request, there will be no viewing or funeral. A graveside service will be held in the spring.
