CLIFTON – Donald “Ducky” Herman Lancaster Jr., 56, passed away in Bangor, March 22, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 6, 1957, in Bangor, the son of Donald and Barbara (Brooks) Lancaster.
Ducky made his home on Rebel Hill in Clifton with his wife, Donna-Mae. He enjoyed working for many years as a maintenance supervisor with Unifirst. Ducky loved camping and he loved riding anything with tires and always had his hands in a motor. Ducky enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and his special sense of humor will be missed, especially by his “Dad,” Tom Noble, who considered Ducky a son.
In addition to his wife, Ducky is survived by his son, Jason and his wife, Morgan, and their kids, Chad and Ryan; his daughter, Amanda and her daughter, Amber; his grandmother, Margaret Brooks; brothers, Matt Lancaster, Dean and Scott Hanson, and Paul Murray; special goddaughter, Courtney Brooks; as well as many aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews and many other special people who called him “Dad.” He was predeceased by his parents.
The family wishes to thank Deric “Dbo” LaPlante for everything he has done to help them through this time, as well as the staff at Eastern Maine Medical Center for their care. Special thanks also to Lloyd and Ritchie at Unifirst.
