CAMBRIDGE, Maine — A Howland woman has been arrested and charged for her alleged involvement in a home invasion in Somerset County earlier this spring, police said.
Melinda Riggs, 25, is accused of robbery, burglary and theft, according to Chief Deputy Dale Lancaster of the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office.
Riggs was arrested on Friday and brought to Somerset County Jail, where she is being held without bail, Lancaster said.
Riggs is alleged to have driven the getaway car for Joshua Chase, 28, of Detroit and Ryan Spaulding, 24, of Waterville, who have already been charged with robbery, burglary, assault and theft in connection with the March 23 home invasion, Lancaster said.
Chase and Spaulding entered a residence through an unlocked door, assaulted a homeowner and stole prescription medication, Lancaster said.
Both men remain behind bars, the chief deputy said. A probation hold was placed on Riggs.
