As undefeated junior welterweight Brandon “The Cannon” Berry prepared to enter the boxing ring in Manchester, New Hampshire, on Thursday night, news broke of a third scheduled fight in less than three months for the West Forks native.

Berry, who is scheduled to fight next on Oct. 11 at the Androscoggin Bank Colisee in Lewiston, also will part of a pro-am boxing show slated for Nov. 15 at the Portland Exposition Building.

A press conference announcing that card, the 100th boxing show promoted by Bobby Russo’s Portland Boxing Club, is scheduled for 11 a.m. Monday.

The main event of the Portland show will feature undefeated New England middleweight champion Russell “The Haitian Sensation” Lamour Jr. of Portland — who also was fighting in New Hampshire on Thursday — in either a New England middleweight championship defense or possibly making a bid for the North American title.

Berry, who was slated to make his six-round debut Thursday night against Theo “The Unholy Terror” Desjardin of North Attleboro, Massachusetts, on the 13th annual Fight to Educate card at the Verizon Wireless Arena, also will be in one of the Portland show’s featured bouts.

Berry entered his New Hampshire bout at 6-0 with four knockouts.

The November card at the Expo also will feature undefeated Portland Boxing Club bantamweight Jorge Abiague and the pro debut of New England Golden Gloves middleweight champion and Portland fireman Jason Quirk.

One other pro bout is expected to be announced as well as two or three amateur fights featuring Portland Boxing Club boxers.
